Our Next Meeting - 2nd January Problem Plants - Ask our panel of experts
Chairman’s Notes.
I trust every one survived our Christmas Party Meeting – it was nice to see everyone enjoy themselves especially those we have not seen for some time.
Although I edited this newsletter just before Christmas the postal receipricants will find it arriving, hopefully, during the “gap” between Christmas Day and New Years Eve. Those email addresses I have, and can get to work, will find it in their email box before Christmas!
So I would like to wish everyone a Happy Christmas to be or past and certainly a Good New Year. May you grow many fine Orchids in your greenhouse. I hope we will see them on the Societies Meetings show tables – and at our show in February (hint, hint!) In the nicest possible way, lets see who can knock Eric off the prize winners list!
If, like me, you have a few problem plants – that’s what January’s meeting is about. Bring them along and let the Experts give their opinion.
Bill.

Show advertising
Thanks again to Ron –he has sent me some details of local advertising possibilities.
Does anyone live south/west of Flitwick and has a paper delivered which would be suitable to place an advert in? If you haven’t already taken Show Posters could you do so at the next meeting. Mick has kindly offered to do some A5 posters as well. Thanks Mick.
Getting ready for our show
Potted plants, bulbs, divisions - Please think ahead for the plant table at our show.
Items for the tombola – unwanted Christmas presents! If you have any it would be helpful to Marlene if you could bring them to the January meeting?
Thanks.
Kate

East of England Show

North Bucks Orchid Society has a good weekend at the East of England Show, Peterborough. We were awarded a Bronze medal, only 1 point off a silver!
Despite the awful weather it was a thoroughly enjoyable weekend.
Ron triumphed with his wide range of Disa's. Other exhibitors were Kate, Eric, Margaret and Erika.
